Accidental Virgin is first of all a love story involving a couple, Bryan and Carly, both in their middle to late twenties who meet in a cemetary. She has car trouble and Bryan, immediately attracted to this raven haired beauty is quick to the rescue.

The story is told in alternating chapters from their separate points of view regarding their attitude toward each other and life in general. Carly is essentially an idealist, and Bryan a realist. This difference immediately sets off sparks while they’re sitting in an Italian restaurant, waiting for Carly’s car to be repaired.

Although attracted to each other, it isn’t long before the couple begins to experience a strain between themselves, some for obvious reasons, and others because Carly’s perverse nature. Her ambivalence toward Bryan is deeply troubling to him. The psychological underpinnings of Carly’s behavior create the tension that carries the story forward through a number of experiences they share together, some tense, some humorous.
